Midlands Home School Band

The Midlands Home School Band (MHSB) is a band music program offered to home schooled and private schooled students in the Midlands of SC. MHSB is here to assist families by providing excellent group band instruction in a nurturing environment while developing students’ skills and appreciation of music as a means to glorify God.

UPCOMING EVENTS

Beginner Band Clinic
August 16 - 18 , 2010
MANDATORY BAND CLINIC for Beginner Band students. The clinic will be held at Cornerstone Church (5637 Bush River Road in Columbia) from 1-4pm. Cost is $25 per student. Come join the fun, learn some music and see if band is for you. To register for the band camp, contact us with the following information: Student’s name, age, grade and musical experience.

Picnic/Cookout
August 17, 2010
All Band Families are invited to our annual kick-off social event where the students can have fun and catch up with their friends! The specifics for this event will soon be announced.

Band Auditions
August 19, 2010
Clinic and Concert Band auditions. Come prepared with scales memorized (as many as you can - following Region/All-State Band guidelines for your grade level) and a prepared piece.
